Protect your skin...
you'll see the effects of it later in life
Hello !
Between the UV index, the heat, and places with very hot and dry climates like Los Angeles — your skin, your hydration, and even your vitamin D levels may need a little extra care, especially when sometimes it’s just too hot to even go outside! Protecting your skin is vital against skin cancer and photoaging.
My mother learned her lesson in her 20s. When she first moved to America she would travel by foot and didn’t know the negative effects of the sun or the idea to put on sunblock. Her skin became sun damaged, creating dark spots on most of her face. For most of her 35+ she constantly worked on diminishing the darkness. She’s truly the most beautiful woman I know, in and out. And she taught me well — always wear sunblock, everywhere. I have religiously used it, except for my short stint in my early 30s when I rebelled against it so that I would have a tan that would last me beyond summer. What I know now that I didn’t then, is that the sun damage you notice in your 40s is primarily the result of the cumulative UV exposure from years earlier. My favorite SPFs Face Reality Daily and Botnia Sun Cream.

I created a summer collection in my Fullscript dispensary dedicated to supporting your sun sesh, pool time, bbq’s and adventures!

YOUR SKIN’S SUMMER DEFENSE TEAM
Sunscreen is a given — but did you know certain nutrients actually protect your skin from UV damage from the inside out? These three are the ones I keep coming back to:
Astaxanthin — A very powerful antioxidant that is a marine-derived carotenoid and its been shown to reduce UV-induced oxidative stress, improve skin elasticity, and help prevent sunburn damage at the cellular level. (Also, amazing for supporting eye health and improving vision. My love, Ryan who is a barber has noticed a major eyesight improvement when he cuts hair since he started taking it.
Lycopene — The pigment that makes tomatoes red also makes your skin more resilient. Lycopene supplementation can reduce skin redness after UV exposure and offers significant photoprotective benefits over time.
Vitamin C — Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals triggered by sun exposure and supports collagen production.
These three work beautifully together — you’ll find them all in my dispensary.
HYDRATION GOES DEEPER THAN WATER
In hot weather, you’re losing more than water — you’re losing electrolytes. If you’re feeling fatigued, getting headaches, or cramping, electrolytes are often the missing piece. I have options in my dispensary for clean electrolyte support.
Also stocked: aloe vera gel, after-sun relief, SPF for adults and little ones, and even a clean bug spray for those summer evenings outside.
YOUR VITAMIN D MIGHT BE LOW
I know it sounds wild when the sun is blazing — but when it’s 95° and you’re inside with the AC on all day, your skin isn’t seeing much of it. Vitamin D deficiency is surprisingly common in sunny climates for exactly this reason, not to mention most women are insufficient in it. If you’re sheltering from the heat, it’s worth supplementing. Find it in my dispensary.
